V 13 N. 107 Remembering Those Who Served Their Countries and Paid the HIghest Price

 

This is November 11, 2023.  I could say say 105 years after the end of World War I  or  78 years after the end of WWII or so many years after so many wars.   The list is endless.   But we have to stop somewhere.  So many young men serving the whims of old men who should have known better.  These two pieces from our past stories.  You've probably seen them before.  Please don't forget them.  And today with the ability of technology we are reminded even more of the innocent bystanders.

Thanks for this tribute and also reminder of all those wars, some just but mostly unjust.  Yesterday at church we had a service commemorating the Vietnam Vets from 1955-75.  It was very nice and was highlighted by a statement from Barack Obama reminding us of the heroism of those people but at the same time the American treatment of the soldiers as they returned home.  I also listened to Waltzing Matilda again and very much enjoyed the message which made so much sense.  Billl Schnier
